Tow truck near me in Linden, NJ: six parts of the city, the roads between them, and the towns next door
Linden is the town our trucks sleep in, which makes this the simplest service-area page on the network. Six parts of the city, the truck each of them tends to need, the roads the drivers actually use, and the seven towns over the line that are covered from the same yard for the same fee.
Tow truck near me by Linden neighborhood: one fee for the whole city, a truck picked street by street
Linden's six parts share one booking fee and one dispatcher, and what she varies is the machine: the heavy wrecker for Tremley Point, a stubby wheel-lift with skates for the packed blocks by the station, and flatbeds for the all-wheel-drive driveways of Sunnyside, the imports along St. Georges Avenue and the garaged cars of the west end.
Downtown, Wood Avenue and Linden station
The center of the city: North Wood Avenue's storefronts and City Hall, the station with its commuter lot, the grade crossing, and the one-way blocks of two-family homes either side of the tracks. Evening batteries, cars parked in too tightly to leave, and a crossing nobody wants to stall on. Wheel-lifts and jump packs handle most of it.
Tremley Point and the Arthur Kill waterfront
The industrial east: Tremley Point Road, the refinery's fence, the terminals and tank farms on the Kill, and the South Wood Avenue parks on the way down. Heavy and medium-duty wreckers that are garaged a few blocks off, plus a flatbed for the crew cabs and the contractors' vans.
Routes 1 & 9, Aviation Plaza and Linden Airport
The divided highway and its frontage: big-box lots, Linden Plaza, the airport's fence, dealers and gas stations. Shopping-trip batteries, stalls in a live lane, and rear-end taps at the signals. The one thing the dispatcher needs is which side of the divider you are on.
Sunnyside and the Warinanco Park edge
The residential north, running up to Roselle and the park. Hedged driveways, all-wheel-drive commuters and hybrids, and the January morning when the whole block clicks. Flatbeds nearly always, with a jump attempted first.
St. Georges Avenue and Stiles Street
Route 27 and the streets off it: garages, diners, tire shops, Linden High School, and the older blocks between Stiles Street and the Elizabeth line. Curbside parking, buses, imports in short driveways. A wheel-lift for the sedans bound for a shop on the avenue, a flatbed for the German cars.
West Linden and the Parkway side
The west end toward Clark, Winfield and Cranford, with the Garden State Parkway running along the edge. Garaged cars, quiet streets, and commuters coming off Exits 136 and 137. Turnpike and Parkway shoulders are served by the Authority's authorized garages. Book with us and we take the car from the exit or the garage's lot.
Give the dispatcher a corner, a lot or a ramp. She gives you the truck that suits your car and the minutes from where it is sitting.
Call (908) 666-3168Home: tow truck Linden NJWhere a tow truck in Linden gets sent most: the highway, the crossing, the exits and the lots
Most Linden calls come from Routes 1 & 9 between the airport and the Elizabeth line, the Wood Avenue grade crossing, St. Georges Avenue and Stiles Street, the Tremley Point gates, and the Aviation Plaza and station lots; all of those are ours to dispatch to directly, and only the Turnpike and Parkway shoulders are not.
- Routes 1 & 9 from the airport to the Elizabeth line
- Aviation Plaza, Linden Plaza and the big-box lots
- Wood Avenue, the grade crossing and the station lot
- South Wood Avenue and the industrial parks
- Tremley Point Road and the terminal gates
- St. Georges Avenue, Route 27
- Stiles Street and Elizabeth Avenue
- The Sunnyside driveways and the park edge
- Turnpike Exit 12 at Carteret
- Turnpike Exit 13 at Elizabeth
- Parkway Exits 136 and 137, west of the city
- The Goethals Bridge road to Staten Island, via Elizabeth
A car that still moves should be coasted onto a side street, into a lot or down a ramp before you make the call; the fee is unchanged and the loading is far safer there. A car that will not move gets hazards, and you get behind something solid, and the dispatcher gets the road, the direction and the last cross street or exit.

Call from the roadsideThe seven towns on Linden's line are covered by the same trucks for the same flat fee
Elizabeth, Roselle, Cranford, Clark, Rahway, Carteret and Winfield each touch Linden or sit a short road from it, and a truck crossing into any of them carries the same dispatcher, the same $149 fee and the same rules; Staten Island, over the Arthur Kill, is reached by the Goethals Bridge road through Elizabeth.
Elizabeth
North along Routes 1 & 9 past the refinery to Bayway Circle, or up Elizabeth Avenue. Turnpike Exit 13, the port and the outlet mall are all minutes from our yard.
Roselle
Over the northern line beyond Warinanco Park. St. Georges Avenue runs straight into it, and the Roselle station lot is a regular pickup.
Cranford
Past the Parkway to the northwest. Centennial Avenue from Exit 136, the Cranford station and the storefronts along North Avenue.
Clark
Across the Parkway on the west side. Raritan Road, Central Avenue and the Route 22 dealers a little further on.
Rahway
South on Routes 1 & 9 or St. Georges Avenue. The station, the hospital and the downtown garages are a short pull from anywhere in Linden.
Carteret
Across the Rahway River to the south, past Turnpike Exit 12. Its industrial park and port roads are a heavy-duty run we know well.
Winfield
The small township tucked against Linden's western edge by the Parkway. Minutes from the yard, and usually a driveway job like any in Sunnyside.
A tow between Linden and any of those seven, in either direction, is priced as one booking fee plus a few local miles. Further out, to the shore, into New York City or across a state line, it becomes a long distance tow on a single flatbed with the tolls built into the quote.
Inside Linden or just past its line, the trucks, the yard and the number are the same.

Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
Which part of Linden gets a tow truck fastest?
Whichever part the nearest truck is in, and because the yard is inside Linden that is a few minutes from almost any block. The window the dispatcher gives you comes from the truck's actual location.
Is there a flatbed near me in Linden right now?
Nearly always. Both kinds of truck run out of Linden at all hours, and the dispatcher knows which one is closest to you. Tell her the make and the drivetrain and the right one is sent.
Do the towns next to Linden pay the same fee?
Yes. All seven get the same $149 booking fee, or $129 online, with only the local miles of the run on top.
Do you go to Tremley Point and the refinery?
Constantly. The heavy and medium-duty wreckers handle the tractors, tankers and box trucks at the gates and tank farms, and a flatbed takes the workers' pickups and the contractors' vans.
Anything else? Ask on the call.
